How does the Hall of Fame Work? How is Someone Nominated ?
Warren County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame
This little Q&A will answer a lot of questions about 'How the Hall works and the entire Process of Inducting someone into the Hall' Please feel free to contact us to answer any other questions. This Q&A is three pages long.
You may nominate an athlete, coach or any folks who have been involved with sports in Warren County! You do not have to be a Hall of Fame member to nominate someone. You may be a relative or a friend, it doesn't matter. The Hall wants the best folks to be Inducted and You can contribute by nominating those worthy folks. Nominations may be emailed or they may be mailed in to us. The nomination itself should include the following information:

1) The full name of the Nominee
2) A short Litany of Sports related Accomplishments
3) Your name and contact Information, email, phone, etc.

The next Induction Class is on a two year cycle with the 12th class just concluded. There are discussions for a possible 2011 class but a decision will be made on that topic in the near future.
What are the Qualifications of the Nominees?
The nominee should:

1) be 30 years or older
2) have had an Outstanding athletic Involvement as an athlete, coach or promoter, etc.
3) have had Roots with Warren County at some point

In the case of nominating a deceased individual, the age requirement is waived.

As a guideline - In nominating an athlete - The individual should be having or had an outstanding athletic career. This athletic career may include high school, college, the recreational, or the professional level but is not limited to those areas.

In the nomination of a coach, longevity and success are important factors but are not limited to those areas. Also, the Hall will accept nominations of a sports related organization which has contributed to the betterment of life in Warren County.
